Gabby and Matt grew up in the same neighborhood. They went to the same schools. The were friends, so by the end of high school dating just seemed the most natural next step. Matt left to play baseball in Missouri but it wasn’t long before he was back to continue life with Gabby. It was just right, and within three years they were finally getting married. Gabby says all of the years waiting, sometimes even begging, wasn’t was easy at times but their wedding day certainly made up for all of that time! They chose the beautiful Up The Creek Farms in Grant-Valkaria, Florida as their venue–a perfect semi destination location for the next chapter of their lives to begin. I could talk all day about how perfect their day was, all of the details that came together to perfectly frame the dream they had pictured and planned for so long. But those aren’t the things that I think of so much when I reflect on their day. What really comes to mind when I think about Gabby and Matt is just how big they Love, and how big they love the people around them. I noted going into their wedding day that their family and friends were super important to capture, but I could never have known how truly incredible everyone would be. From the grandmothers who had my side splitting from their antics and commentary on the front row of the ceremony before Gabby made her big entrance to the groomsmen who voluntarily broke into dance anytime the camera panned their way–I realized quickly that these were my people. These are people who live and love BIG. To say it was hard to leave at the end of the night is an understatement. So watch this film and get a hint of the fun we all had, but take the last line from Gabby’s sister’s toast to heart. We can All learn something from Gabby and Matt’s Love.
