Where do I even start with this wedding?! Nate is my younger cousin by a couple of years (so I may be a little biased), but he and his bride, Dottie, were pretty much the definition of dream clients. Having a small budget, Nate & Dottie chose to get married at the Garden of Roses in Columbus, Ohio where they often visited while they were dating in college. Dottie made the park shelter house feel like a vintage reception hall with her DIY spirit and lots of handmade details. What might have been seen as limitations by some, actually made the wedding all the more unique. Guests sat on blankets and bleachers for the ceremony, and having the dance floor outside as the sun set made the reception feel open and free. Their wedding day was sweet, beautiful, and romantic in every way, and the amount of love poured out over these two was so tangible throughout the day. The greatest part of working with them was how they trusted me so completely with the video. They took my suggestions and were up for anything I asked them to do for the camera, and the results totally paid off. Trusting your videographer is the single greatest thing you can do if you want an amazing wedding film, and I'm so grateful that Nate and Dottie did that for me. It opened up so much creativity for me as a filmmaker, and I'm thrilled to give them a beautiful video they can cherish for years to come.
