We met in a bar 8 years ago on a Wednesday Student night while Alex was at uni studying a bachelor of civil engineering in the city and I had moved away to the country to study a bachelor of veterinary medicine. I escaped the country with my housemate and came back to hit the clubs mid week (we were so young then! ). I asked Alex to buy me a drink initially in which he declined as he was a poor student but after talking for a couple of minutes he decided to then buy me a drink. From there we exchanged numbers and the rest is history!

Located on Pier 41 in the historic shipping yards of Red Hook, Brooklyn. The building was constructed in the pre-Civil War 1850’s and has recently been renovated into a charming event space. Located directly on the water’s edge, there are expansive views of New York Harbor. The Liberty Warehouse is the only location in all of New York where the Statue of Liberty is face front as she looks on to France. It is a truly unique place that one must see to appreciate.
