It was the first weekend in October, in 2012. Devin had lived in Austin for about four months and met pretty much all my friends at work. One of those friends had a group visiting from the company’s office in Boston. Devin still remember the first day she met Justin – he came into the office on Friday and was pretty hard to miss. He was the 6’4″ one wearing suspenders, with a voice just as big as his personality. Throughout the weekend, my friends and I showed them around Austin – dancing and laughing and making tons of memories. They really connected on the dance floor, when they realized they equally liked to bust a move and make a scene. After day 2 they were pretty much inseparable. On Monday morning, Devin went to work wishing she could spend the last few hours of his visit with Justin. Fortunately for them, a water main broke near her office, and they were all sent home. His hotel happened to be around the corner from her office, so she went and spent the last few hours soaking in every moment she could (which pretty much consisted of all of them sitting around trying to kick their hangovers). A couple of hours later, he flew back to Boston but they continued texting and calling each other constantly. A year later Justin moved to Austin and, as they say, the rest is history!
