Wedding Date on Dec 15, 2019

Darius and Evan were high school sweethearts. At the time they had been dating for 8 years so Darius had won back the element of surprise. Evan had been DYING to go on a trip to Peru to visit Machu Picchu and Darius knew it would be the most awesome setting they could find. Halfway through the trip they took a train to Machu Picchu. They spent a few hours exploring then Darius led them to an area with a clear view and asked a friendly stranger to take a 'photo' of them. Darius popped the question and she was 100% not expecting it! We drove out to Balmorhea, Tx for Even and Darius’ wedding ceremony at Calera Chapel. We spent some time after the ceremony shooting in the midday sun and around some incredible rock formations. We also did a “day-after shoot” where we made a two hour trip out to the Monahans Sand Dunes! To Darius and Evan, Marfa is quirky, atypical, beautiful, and a true hidden gem. It's a place that forces people to slow down, but there is so much to enjoy once you do. Just from their short time there, they could see that Marfa was the coolest little desert town in West Texas. It’s an escape for artists, musicians, and creatives from all around. We spent some time at the Hotel St. George where we heard a variety of accents from across the world. Strange right? I mean, who knew so many different people knew about a little town in Texas. There were tons of cool art galleries, art installations, and local shops. Oh, and we can’t forget about the famous Prada Marfa!
