Wedding Date on Mar 16, 2019

THIS IS FROM THE BRIDE: Dan and I first met about seven years ago. We were both in different relationships at the time we met. We remained friends for several years, but then we lost touch. On my birthday in 2017, Dan sent me a message on Facebook saying “Happy birthday.” We got to chatting– and flirting. He asked me to go out with him but I ended up having to stand him up because, well… kids. He asked me out two more times and both times I had to stand him up. Finally I reached out to him and apologized for not being able to make the previous dates, he agreed to meet me at a little restaurant/ bar. The second I walked up to that bar, I knew this was going to be it for me. I was instantly smitten, to say the least. We flirted all night, and for the first time ever on a first date, I was able to let my guard down. I was comfortable and happy and honestly, having the time of my life at a little dive bar. It wasn’t too long after that that I introduced him to my children. He instantly fell in love with my children and they fell in love with him. That was when I knew he was the one. Our relationship has moved quickly… but you know what they say- “When you know, you know.” Fast forward to Superbowl Sunday. I spent the morning cooking and cleaning waiting for the big game. We are both huge Eagles fans. We were screaming and cheering and loving every second of spending this historical moment with our friends and with each other. When the Eagles won, our house erupted in celebration. I was going around and hugging all of our friends and my kids and I turned around and he was down on his knee (with no ring in hand). I thought he was kidding! I actually said out loud “wait, are you being serious right now?!” He said “Danielle, I love you with all of my heart and I couldn’t think of a more perfect time to ask you to spend the rest of your life with me. We can go pick out a ring tomorrow!” I said “YES!” and the house erupted with even more celebration. That day was one of the best days of my life and it will forever be carved into my memory.
