Wedding Date on Oct 8, 2023

Cortney + Joe. 10.08.23. “You are what makes my Mondays the best day of the week.” For the first time, I found myself at the same wedding venue twice in one weekend (DJ Marek was also the master of ceremonies for both, so I’m happy I found out he could put up with me for an extended amount of time in the same shared space). This was the second wedding of my double-header at Black Hills Receptions, and this one had me in my feels. There have been times editing other wedding films where there were moments that got me teary-eyed. Cutting this one together, I was straight up sobbing. The exchange Cortney and her daughter had after the ceremony? Game over, man. Game over. When Katie Mary Photography and I met with these two after they booked our combo package — #shamelessplug — they said having video and photos of their wedding was *extremely* important to them. That translated into them being an amazing couple to work with. Being able to capture this day was a blessing, from them exchanging the sweetest gifts and beautifully written letters, all the way to their last dance. I couldn’t be happier with how this film turned out, and I wish nothing but the absolute best to these Cheesecake Factory loving, semi-professional Scrabble players.
