Wedding Date on Jul 11, 2020

The importance Kevin's proposal to Christine in at the Castel St. Angelo in Rome, overlooking the Tiber River & Vatican, was apparent to me. Both Christine and Kevin both lit up talking about it before their ceremony. Their maid of honor mentioned it in her speech. And looking at their photos there, it's easy to see why the moment holds a special place in their hearts. In his homily during their marriage mass at St. Ann's Parish in Wilmington, Delaware, Father Jasper pointed out a detail that I thought was incredibly poignant. He talked about a statue of St. Michael the Archangel at the top of the Castel St. Angelo. Watch the film to hear exactly what he says, but for a couple who had to reschedule their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fr. Jasper's homily was an incredible perspective on why their marriage is more important now than ever! Their entire wedding day may not have been exactly what they drew up after that sunset proposal in Rome, but with a short trip to Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar (which are beautiful enough to make you think you are in Rome!) before a reception of family and close friends at Christine's parents, Christine & Kevin's wedding was just perfect.
