Christiana and Paul met in grad school in NYU. They went for "decayed decadence" at Alder Manor (W. B. Thompson Mansion), as they both shared an interest in discovering abandoned mansions. They were inspired by the film, "Grey Gardens," which they projected on loop in an empty room during the reception. Christiana explained how they used a color palette of dusty pastels, like dust had settled onto the flower arrangements. During dinner, the candles dripped wax onto the linens. It felt like we were transported to France in another time. The day was filled with emotion and tears, that burst from the first look and flowed through the evening, which was capped with a jumpin' dance party and a magical sparkler send off.
