From the Bride: We surprisingly met on Hinge, a dating app. Chrissy was living in Boston at the time, and actually downloaded it mistakenly (Doug still thinks she's bluffing) not thinking it was basically a Tinder. Doug is 2 years older, but was playing on the hockey team in his senior year at Lowell. Doug likes to say it was "love at first swipe", while Chrissy still can't believe he didn't pick up on all her sarcastic remarks after the terrible, but hilarious lines he threw her way. There was something about him that she couldn't ignore, even though she ended up deleting the app shortly after. We exchanged phone numbers, and from day 1, before even meeting in person, we were able to connect in a way neither of us had before. We got each other's humor, and admired each other's quick wit. We planned to meet a week or two later, and Chrissy brought her whole entourage (2 of her best friends from college, her sister, and a few other friends). Chrissy's crew was basically cheering her on after a pep talk about why she shouldn't be nervous to meet a random guy she met "online", and Doug and his best friend from college finally showed up. Chrissy boldly walked over, introduced herself with 2 accompanying bud lights, and the rest was history! We both say that we honestly knew right then and there that night that we were meant to be together. We connected on so many different levels, and the spark between us was just there from the very beginning.
