Wedding Date on Jul 4, 2018

It was the coldest day of 2016 (negative 17° F with wind chill, brrr), and New York City was filled with strong winter winds pummeling the uncovered faces of those daring enough to venture outside. Little did fate foretell, two weather-braving strangers were to meet and have their lives changed forever. On the 13th day of the 2nd month, on the 13th street of 2nd avenue, a well-dressed, bearded man met a well-bundled, vivacious woman outside of Milk Bar. They exchanged pleasantries and shared their first meal together, a Blueberry and Cream cookie. The planned date very soon became a spontaneous adventure. In an effort to stay warm, the two lucky and maybe crazy strangers spent the day running (literally) around New York City, visiting Japanese teahouses, rifling through thrift stores, and even acquiring a library card for the bearded one. Within hours, the two had shed the title of strangers and begun a journey filled with love, more adventures, and happy memories as Anu and Cassandra. Sources tell that the now-couple have gone on an impromptu trip to Hong Kong, seen the fabled Hamilton on Broadway, and even cooked together once in a blue moon. Such adventuring! On a rainy September day, Cassandra partook in a day-long 25-clue scavenger hunt designed by Anu. Little did Cassandra foretell, the Blueberry and Cream cookie would make a reappearance as the penultimate scavenger hunt task. However, the night did not end with the cookie, but rather an engagement.
