How They Met (from Brianna) I was in my Junior year of college the first time I spotted Brian out a night club. I can't remember everything we talked about, but I could never forget his face. Six months later, my brother asked me to come home from school to photograph a fundraising dodgeball tournament that he was hosting with the barbershop he worked for. Brian happened to be on one of the teams. I was chatting with a few of my girlfriends who tagged along from school and we all couldn't help but drool over the cutest guy in the gym. They finally helped me muster up the guts to get up and talk to him. He asked me out for a first date, we went out a week later, the rest as they say (no matter how cheesy it is), is history. That dreamy boy worked his way into my heart and will be there forevermore. The Proposal: The week before my mother and I set out for our two week journey around the coast of Ireland, my family surprised me by telling me that my brother and Brian would be meeting us there half way through the trip. woo! The day they arrived in Ireland, was our first day in Killarney (omg this place was magical!). We all had dinner together at our hotel - I was forced into dancing with some strangers and Irish step dancers in the middle of the restaurant - fun! That evening after dinner, we were all chatting with the concierge at the hotel trying to get ideas and devise a plan for the following day. We decided to borrow bikes and explore in the morning. We went up to our rooms, and shortly after Brian went back out for a smoke. He was out for like 40 minutes before I walked over to my moms room and told her I was worried that he was out for way longer than normal for a smoke. She was like "oh, you know Brian - he's probably out there chatting it away with someone.".. "ya, you're probably right". The next morning we went out for a bike ride, and ended up at Torc waterfall, on The Ring of Kerry. The moss and greenery all over the place literally had me in awe. He took my hand and led me over to the waterfall and pulled me up on a rock in front of a crowd of people that were there to view. With my hands in his, he got down on his left knee and popped the question. It took me a moment to process what was happening, and then I said yes! hugged him, cried.. all that hooplah :) Later that day, I learned that the photographer is the one who stole Brian the evening prior to scope out the location, in the pitch black of the night. Brian didn't know if he was going to make it back from that excursion haha! but brownie points to B for hiring him! It was the best day of my life, to date.
