Bailey and Emily met at one of his bands shows in Old Town Fort Collins summer of 2017. Emily was in Colorado Springs for the summer, and Bailey was local to Loveland/Fort Collins. They started meeting up half way in Denver every couple days and quickly realized they had a special connection. Emily was leaving to go back to Arkansas in a few short weeks, but they decided to start dating despite the long distance. After a few months of that, they talked and decided it would be a good idea for Emily to move to Loveland, which really showed them that they were better together. In March, Bailey worked with some friends of theirs to propose to Emily in Old Town. They were filming for a start up project for a friend. When reading the cue cards, the last one had a note saying, "Em, will you marry me?" and Emily turned around, and there Bailey was! Emily jumped and hugged him, but he reminded her that he had to get down on one knee. Emily wrote: "Something unique about our love is how we desire to love God and love people, but we want to do that together. Another thing is how we just get each other, or understand the other... There are many of times were we are able to support each other in growing by recognizing the good, bad, and ugly. We both come from backgrounds that have shaped us, which requires a lot of grace, seeking to understand, and love." Emily & Bailey's wedding day was uniquely theirs because they did almost everything against the grain. Most of their vendors were friends or family that just loved them so much and wanted to make their dream wedding a reality. They also didn't want to spend a ton of money on things that didn't matter, the priority was gettin' married and having the best party with the ones they loved. They got ready in Airbnbs and then we all drove up into the mountains for their first look and some photos. It was dreamy to say the least. Emily had been hoping for snow on her wedding day and SHE GOT IT because a HUGE blizzard blew in that night (a total contrast to their sunny afternoon portraits) and covered the entire town in a blanket of white. It was the biggest snow of the year and the shots we got were so worth it.
