How the couple met: "We met at a Battle of the Bands concert about 9 years ago, and we go to shows often (Coachella, local, etc.) I like going out to events + art exhibits, he's more of the homebody who likes to stay at home + play video games. We have a cat + a french bulldog who we both love to cuddle with. We also spend a lot time with our families + friends. For the proposal, we celebrate our anniversaries and we took the day off to celebrate our 8th year together. We went to all of the neighborhoods + spots where we had our first dates and favorite hangouts. We ended up on the rooftop of our first apartment together and he did his speech and proposed there. (We live in Astoria and have a water view of Manhattan). He planned dinner and to my surprise, both of our parents were waiting there to celebrate with us."
