From The Bride: I met my husband when I was 16 years old while he was working at Bullwinkles family fun center. My friends and I would refer to him as "go-cart boy". We always thought each other was cute but never worked up enough courage to talk to each other. We ended up running into each other 8 years later at Bushwhackers, my favorite country bar where he asked for my number. After our first date at the driving range we were inseparable! My husband began secretly saving for my ring about 3 months into our relationship. On our one year he proposed to me in my home town at the Clackamas county Rodeo, in front of thousands of people. The wedding planning started immediately! Although we did have our eye on a couple of venues nothing seemed as perfect of a place to get married than my parents farm. I could just stand in the window and picture what the perfect wedding day would look like. My dad planted grass and sunflowers all the way in our field at the opposite end of the property for the ceremony as well as build me a rustic backdrop and dance floor. My mom and I collected dozens of jeans and she hand sewed each of them into quilts to perfectly fit the hay bails for the ceremony. My MOH and I spent hours decorating mason jars and centerpieces. With the help of my parents in law and aunt we were able to have the most beautiful flower arrangements! With two months of marriage counseling with our officiant who not only made our vows so special, but the relationship we were able to build with him was a blessing. I really feel like being raised on a farm my whole life and being able to leave married on it made it the most perfect country wedding I could have hoped for.
