Andrew and Sarah’s story began as friends in high school, hanging out at the movies, bowling, and as lab partners in their Physics class. Eventually they began dating, and the rest was history.
These two were married downtown Indianapolis at The Artsgarden, a stunning glass structure overhanging the busy streets. Their wedding was officiated by a close family friend, Javin, who had known both the bride and groom for a very long time. Javin’s wife, Sandra, was Sarah’s horseback riding trainer. When Sarah was a kid, she and her sister, Emily, rode around on their bicycles pretending they were horses. Eventually Sarah began to ride actual horses and became a show jumper. Since horseback riding was so near and dear to Sarah’s heart, she had a post-wedding shoot (in her wedding dress) with her horse, Ally.
Andrew and Sarah’s wedding day had so much artistry from beginning to end. Emily Ventura Designs worked her magic and brought the couple’s vision to life. Stationery and design was done by Creative in Bloom, who created a custom monogram that was used on invitations, menus, drapery, as well as blown up on the center of the dance floor. Stunning florals by Bella Sorella established a beautiful indoor garden setting. The couple rented an antique car from Antique Limousine of Indianapolis to take them around downtown for portraits. This was a perfect addition to their formal, black-tie day. One of our favorite parts of the day was Andrew and Sarah’s first dance, which featured a surprise spray of cold sparks that showered them on the dance floor.
It was such a pleasure to capture this jaw-dropping wedding day!
