From Amber, the bride: We always say that we were meant to find each other in Austin. Both of us moved to this beautiful city for no real reason other than we felt called to be there at that moment. Many of you know we met on the dating app Okay Cupid. I was struck by how witty Cody was, how easily we conversed but even more shocking... he actually called me on the phone! For those of you lucky enough to not be in the dating world currently, actual phone calls are a thing of the past. So when my phone rang one evening , I was pleasantly surprised. After several hours of great conversation he asked me if I wanted to go have a drink with him later that week. When we arrived at Easy Tiger that night we both knew we had a connection. Cody even got a parking ticket because we were inside way longer than we anticipated! Two whiskeys for him, and two white wines for me later I got my last first kiss. From that night on, we became inseparable. We have this goofy fun loving relationship, one where laughter is never in short supply. But also an understanding relationship. Two very strong minded people have learned to compromise, to split the difference and to open up in ways we never felt we needed to before. The saying goes “ when you know, you know.” For both of us we knew very early on that our love was special. So on April 19th 2018 I was honored to say the word” yes!” At the top of the Tower Of America’s in San Antonio. We know that life is full of ups and downs. We are just sincerely blessed to have found each other for the ride. The wonderfully weird Austin, Texas brought our hearts together and we are so excited to share our special day with y’all on the same street that started it all!
