Couples' story as told by Amanda: Wes and I met in 2011, It was my first week of my first job out of College. Wes’ dad and farm was my newest client. I was to be coming in to meet them. It was then that I realized that this was the family of my best college friend but he did not tell me about them. My best college friend is my Fiance’s cousin. I met Wes on the farm that week and we stayed acquaintances for a year or so. In 2012, at the Cecil County fair we got thrown together making milkshakes in the ice cream booth for the county young farmers club. We decided to give dating a shot because we worked so well together under pressure. October 2012, We started dating… it was in a hurricane that he asked me to be his girlfriend. Since then we have done everything together and been through a lot together. We broke up in 2017 because I had taken a job about 3 hours south and we decided we may need a break. 2018 came and we found ourselves not wanting to be apart and decided to try things again. Since then everything just seemed to fall into place except for a proposal. I was waiting and waiting and figured I was going to have to break up with him again because he was never going to make this happen. We decided to go to Canada after Christmas of 2019 because my best friend is a dairy farmer up there. Wes had never been to Canada and also had never been to Niagara Falls. We decided to spend New Years in Niagara. It was New Years day when we went up in the tower there that looks like the space needle to see all of the falls and he surprised me by getting down on one knee. I was completely shocked and said yes because that’s what I truly wanted but man! I was in shock for a few days I think. I just couldn’t believe it.. and that brings us to today!
