To help with the time apart, Tyson got Amanda a journal and they began writing letters back and forth to each other throughout their relationship. When Tyson knew he was ready to propose he began to start each letter choosing the first letter of each word to eventually spell out "Will you marry me". 

On the day of their wedding, Amanda was reading the letter Tyson wrote her out of this journal, and she began to explain the significance of it to me. This was such a unique and beautiful way to propose, I knew I had to incorporate it into their film.
