Wedding Date on Dec 31, 2019

Amanda comes from a long line of die hard Pitt alumni. She herself went to the University of Pittsburgh where she was a cheerleader for the Panthers. Her devotion to her alma matar runs deep. So deep that she never would have considered sharing her life with someone who didn't align with this viewpoint. Especially not someone that vehemently rooted against her beloved team. That all changed when out for St. Patty's Day years ago in Pittsburgh's Southside. A cute guy named Matthew - who just so happens to be from Penn State - asked her out and... she agreed! They say green beer makes you do weird things, but in this case, her temporary lapse in judgment became one of the most important decisions of her life, as this past NYE, she married him! While they may not see eye to eye on sports teams, they are remarkably compatible and a perfect match in every single other way. These two are wild adventurers, world travelers, hard workers, and the kindest, most fun duo. They are the craziest dancers on the dance floor (and even had a Pitt vs. Penn State Show down at their reception!), and the most intentional and loving souls you'll come across. They've run marathons together around the country, got engaged on a European adventure in Zermatt, Switzerland, and are venturing to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and go on a Safari to celebrate their honeymoon. While they share a love for travel, they chose Amanda's hometown to celebrate their "I Do's" with an outrageously epic NYE celebration. The day started off with some rain, but just before Matt and Amanda's first look, those raindrops turned into snow flurries. That pretty much depicts the magic of these two together. We couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the new year!
