I don't like overly corny wedding pics or videos -- like those overly posed and hyperexposed/contrasted pics that look like my we're all trying to be on a reality tv show. When working with creatives, I tend to opt for more rich & moody OR just people that provide clear style & substance. I need someone that can capture a version of the story that goes beyond what really nice camera phones can basically do nowadays. Again, the prompt for our wedding guests for vibe/dress code is Downton Abbey meets Peaky Blinders
For us both, traveling to new places and real, physical experiences are some of the most important things in life. We would never have met if it
wasn't for our desire to travel and live outside the bubbles in which we grew up. At home in NYC we spend a lot of time cooking and eating good food, and lately relaxing with a good TV show at home at night, as we're both tired from work and planning stuff. With that said, we are both generally restless and like to do new things and checking out cool shit (lol). We mostly try to go for unique and worthy experiences. We don't lean any way in particular; as in, we tend to enjoy a variety of things (e.g. traveling to big cities, getting off the grid camping/hiking in beautiful nature, fine dining), and hang out with friends. We like to check out new restaurants, have friends over for dinner, and uncover all the new weird things that NYC has to offer. Recent vacations (besides for wedding planning) centered around scuba diving in cenotes, road tripping from Las Vegas to NYC (see below), long weekends in Nashville, Joshua Tree, and smaller towns in upstate New York. We're doing our "paper" wedding in Vegas and then renting out this cool compound called Hicksville in Joshua Tree; gonna lean into the whole Vegas thing, though, and get an Elvis impersonator and Amanda is wearing a fully sequined, multi-color suit.
