Alyx + Paul met on the online dating app, Bumble in November 2017. Alyx had been dating via Bumble for a bit and ready to call it quits until she started chatting with Paul. After a few weeks of exchanging messages, Alyx & Paul went on their first date to Parlour, a neat basement bar known for their craft cocktails and burgers. Paul accidentally went to the wrong place at first (above Parlour) and Alyx thought that maybe she was being ghosted! Eventually we found each other and spent hours chatting over cocktails until it was time to go home.
Both of them feel their most true selves when traveling together, so they decided eloping across the US would be the best fit for their day and to have a larger celebration once they get back. Although their family couldn't be there on their wedding day, they made sure to include them by facetime-ing them in the morning and giving them updates along the way! Their family even sent them a surprise video with all their friends and family congratulating them.
One of the best moments on their day was after their ceremony. They took their Jeep into the dessert where their private chef had a glamping tent set up under the stars and cooked them a gourmet meal. They had a live musician playing music the whole time and it literally felt straight out of a movie.
