Endurance and patience are two qualities every couple needs. Cory and Alisha's relationship is a perfect example of this. It all began when Cory dreamed one night about meeting a gorgeous blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl. He quickly dismissed it as a fantasy of the mind - that is, until he met Alisha one week later through his college basketball teammate. It was at that point that he realized God had made his dream come true, and they've been inseparable ever since. Alisha fell in love with Cory's silly, playful nature and willingness to bring levity during any stressful situation, and she quickly learned how protective he was of the people he loved. Cory came to appreciate her patience, her loving nature, and ability to organize and plan. And they both found a perfect match in their mutual love of animals, especially their puppy Golden Retriever Bella. But as with many things in life, the journey they embarked on had many twists and turns. For several years they had to maintain their relationship over long-distance, with Alisha studying abroad in Ireland and doing grad school in Wisconsin. While the distance tested their love and self-sacrifice, it also strengthened and refined their friendship and convinced them they could endure through any future challenge.
