Wedding Date on Sep 21, 2019

In 2016, Alexa quit her job in Brooklyn and set out on a journey to hike the Appalachian Trail. She met Sam about 65 miles into the trail, at a shelter in Georgia and from there they hiked the rest of the trail together. A friendship turned into a romance and 1900 miles later, Alexa knew that Sam was the one. Despite their unique love story, Alexa told me that their vision for the wedding was basically a backyard family reunion - where they happened to get married - and that she wanted the wedding to be about their friends and family there celebrating with them. However, it was clear to me from the beginning that the joy these two share and the love that they have for their friends and family and dog, Moose, is incredibly infectious. While shooting and editing their film, I knew I wanted to tell their unique story while also showing the effect these two had on everyone in attendance and the intimate nature of their wedding!
