Wedding Date on Apr 26, 2022

We spent so much time with AJ and Marrina when it came to dreaming for their wedding. We still remember our first conversation with Marrina on the phone with her while we were pent up in a New Jersey hotel photographing an elopement that weekend a couple years ago. She told us that she didn't want anyone else photographing her wedding. We fell in love with this couple as we began to hear their story and learn their personalities. When the pandemic hit, AJ and Marrina decided to postpone their wedding. We rescheduled and went about our business while waiting for the new day. One day, we received a call that they had decided to cancel their wedding due to the deaths that the pandemic had caused. They still wanted to pay us by setting up several photo sessions with family and friends throughout the year, but we were all heart broken to embrace that fact that there would be no wedding. One day, as we considered AJ and Marrina, we threw around the idea of setting up some sort of elopement in the mountains of North Carolina. Marrina had already purchased a dress and we figured that we might as well use it for something. We got on the phone to present the idea to them. They were more than thrilled with the proposal and we all got to work creating the most epic elopement for them. From suits to new dress, airbnbs to flowers and makeup, it was such a fun process and we all got to do it together. This video is for you, AJ and Marrina.
