Adrianne + Jake’s story started online. In a world with billions of people, they found eachother while being thousands of miles away from eachother. Personally, I think that’s AMAZING! Technology literally bringing people together that possibly would have never met otherwise!
“We stumbled onto each other and started talking. Slow at first, but then almost daily. After some time I learned we were actually 8,000+ miles apart on opposite sides of the world. (I always said the man for me was on the other side of the planet.) Jake was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and the distance seemed daunting. But at that point it was too late, we were already hooked.”
After dating looooong distance for a year, Jake was restationed to the states. He was now only a 5 hour drive away! You better believe they made that drive multiple times, sometimes meeting half way, to explore new cities together. I don’t know this for sure, but speaking from experience, I can almost guarantee Adrianne and Jake spent A LOT of time on the phone!
I’m not gonna lie, being in a long distance relationship is NOT easy. Adrianne + Jake, we applaud you!! BUT, the day finally came. After 2 years of dating long distance, they were FINALLY together. Not only were they in the same state for the first time, they were now in the same city… and wait for it…. IN THE SAME APARTMENT!
And then the question that Adrianne will NEVER forget was asked:
"Would you make me the happiest man in the world and allow me to annoy you for the rest of our lives?”
St. Augustine holds a special place in Adrianne + Jake’s love story. From being the first place they said "I like you" out loud for the first time to now, the place they became husband + wife.
Adrianne had three first looks! She had an unexpectedly tearful first look with her bridesmaids. Then she had an emotional first look with her dad. And then came the time, the time to see her future husband. Jake couldn't wait to give his bride-to-be a huge hug and a kiss.
Their wedding day was filled with happy tears, laughter and so much fun & dancing. They truly had their best day ever.
