They met in New Orleans 5 years ago at Pat O'briens. They were both on separate trips with friends and met by chance when Brett decided to walk up to Yasmin at the bar and start up a conversation. She was living in Chicago at the time and he was still living in Raleigh, but his move to Chicago was already in the works. They ended up sharing numbers since he was moving to the city in just a couple of months.
