Wedding Date on Sep 21, 2019

Suzie and Rob met through Rob's sister, who is one of Suzie's best friends. Suzie and Rob only briefly met twice, but on their third meeting, as Suzie explains in her vows, "something in the universe shifted". Something had changed that brought them together, and on their first official date, despite how illogical it seemed, they both "immediately and irrefutably knew" that they would be spending the rest of their lives together. Suzie, who has a passion for backpacking and adventures deep in nature, eventually bought Rob a backpack as a present for his birthday. This led him to going on his first backpacking trip ever with her, where he found himself in the Northwoods of Superior, Wisconsin. As Rob explains in his vows to Suzie, "Despite the Biblical swarms of mosquitoes, the two bear encounters, and the thunderstorm sent by Mother Nature herself to convince me I was crazy for being out there with you, you managed to find a lifetime camping partner in me. My favorite time and place in this world is in nature with you." Things haven't always been smooth sailing, as Suzie and Rob had to endure health difficulties and recovery during Rob's open heart surgery. Emily, Rob's sister, had the pleasure of not only being the one to introduce them, but also to officiate their wedding. She explained during their ceremony "Seeing how you (Suzie) were there... and I mean THERE for my brother was something special. You will move mountains for the ones you love, and the love you have for my brother couldn't be more evident." Suzie and Rob are two kindred spirits, who are bound by their love of nature, family, friends, and most importantly, each other.
