Wedding Date on Aug 21, 2021

Sumr and Kyle wanted an intimate wedding that not only felt like them, but also could include their loved ones. Kyle is originally from Idaho, and while they have been living in various spots around the country, Sumr had fallen in love with Boise when visiting Kyle's family. They hope to one day be able to settle down in the area, but for now the idea of a downtown Boise wedding was perfect for them. Sumr and Kyle wanted to be within walking distance from their wedding venue, so they chose to book some rooms at the Residence Inn right on Capitol Blvd. We started out the day by heading up to Sumr's room, casually hanging out with Sumr and her crew as they got ready. There was a feeling of peace throughout the room, the bridal party and the bride were unhurried working to make sure that every detail was perfect. After some time capturing their morning, we headed over to Kyle's room to get some shots of him getting ready as well. There was a similar feeling of peace with the groomsmen as they hung out together, drinking beers and making sure Kyle was looking good. For their first look, we decided to have Sumr and Kyle meet on the balcony of the hotel. We could feel the nervous energy coming from them both as they waited to finally see each other. When Kyle turned around to see Sumr, you could see the nervousness immediately disappear, and they both were put at ease. After some photos of the couple and the wedding party, we started heading towards the venue, Beside Bardenay. Since it was only a couple of blocks away, we all walked together, enjoying the sounds and sights of the city on a Saturday afternoon. Once we arrived, the party slipped off to their waiting area, and after a bit the ceremony was under way. Sumr and Kyle shared some heartfelt vows with each other as their loved ones looked on. After sealing their vows with a kiss, in true Sumr and Kyle fashion, they also sealed it with a shot of tequila. Kyle and Sumr had their first dance once the space was transformed to the reception set up. We then ate some delicious food for the intimate dinner courtesy of Bardenay, and heard some sweet words from Sumr and Kyle's fathers, maid of honor, and best man. We headed over to the dessert table, where Sumr and Kyle chose to share a donut together. Finally, they headed back out onto the dance floor to get wild and enjoy their time with their friends and family late into the night.
