Wedding Date on May 5, 2018

Steve and I met working at a local radio station in Detroit. We grew to really like each other over many nights of bar trivia and eventually started dating. Cut two 5 years in and a daughter later-- we decided to make it official and get hitched. We wanted our wedding to feel different than everything else we'd ever attended, so we tried to make sure we had a lot of personal touches throughout the night. Advice to others? Don't let someone else influence YOUR wedding. We had food trucks cater our wedding, despite many protests from family-- and guess what, they all loved it! Do what makes you happy and something you'll remember. Also, we didn't plan on getting this video-- the DJ told us they were going to shoot a promotional video using footage from the reception. Honestly it was a huge regret of ours that we didn't hire someone to do a video-- so this was an amazing surprise!
