Some love stories begin without the parties involved even realizing it. Such is the case with Travis and Stephanie, who literally grew up together. With houses across the street from each other, the two played as children for endless hours into young adulthood. “Our childhood together was seriously THE BEST!” exclaims Stephanie.
When you have a love like that, you need a wedding that pays homage to such a fairytale. The couple chose the Lodge at Malibou Lake to say “I do”. This venue boasts over 80 years of weddings and celebrations for the families of the Malibou lakeside community. Knowing its rich history and loving the fact that the Lodge had both indoor and outdoor areas, Stephanie and Travis knew this was the place for their big day.
Stephanie loves the color pink and also loves greenery of all kinds so she chose that as her color palette for her perfect summer wedding. Blush-colored roses adorned awnings and tabletops as lush greens frolicked in the background in this truly romantic spread. A few hints of sparkle juxtaposed the rustic furniture they chose to decorate the outdoor reception area as twinkle lights soared above the heads of loved ones. It really was a magical and romantic setting from start to finish.
Not to be outdone by the decor, Stephanie wore a stunning beaded lace dress with blush undertones that matched the florals surrounding her. The train stole the show as it flowed and cascaded with a sheer lace splendor that was both classic and modern. Finishing off her look was a gorgeous sparkly soft pink hair barrette and matching earrings. Travis wore a dapper full tuxedo with just a hint of bad-boy tattoo peeking out over his collar.
Chef Cordelia, the Lodge’s resident chef, did not disappoint with the array of traditional culinary delights at the reception. Guests were serenaded by the whimsical sounds of Quartet 405 early in the evening and then danced the night away to the tunes of DJ Pasha afterward. The couple’s favorite part was seeing the reception set up outside with their beautiful sweetheart table covered with flowers. “The sun set so beautifully that evening,” says Stephanie. “It couldn’t have been any better!” Here’s to many more beautiful sunsets for this happy couple!
