Wedding Date on Sep 23, 2021

Shelby and Cody met at USC, sometime in 2010 through a mutual friend, but barely talked to one another. It wasn’t until a year later in 2011, when they saw each other again at the same mutual friend’s birthday party that they really hit it off. Cody remembers seeing her at the pre-game party and thinking to himself that this was the night to make Shelby his! He bought her a drink, they talked a lot, and had their first kiss on the dance floor later that night. Shelby was of course smitten. Their first date was in Cody’s hometown of Fullerton in summer of 2011, on college break. Shelby met Cody’s Dad (ON THE FIRST DATE), after that Cody drove Shelby in his dad’s Charger SRT-8 (the only time he ever got to drive it), and they had a nice sushi dinner in town. Afterwards they got a coffee in a cute cafe, and then headed to Cody’s favorite nighttime overlook nearby (overlooking the lights of the LA basin). Once they were there Cody asked Shelby to date exclusively, as he was going to college in Santa Barbara later that month. Shelby of course said yes!
