Wedding Date on Jul 14, 2018

Shawn and Kendall are high school sweethearts. From the time they were just young, they knew each other from school and the community. When they were 15, they started dating; just two awkward teenagers going on Tim Horton runs and to the occasional movie. Their relationship grew stronger, but was put to the ultimate test when Kendall went away to college in Saskatoon, a four hour drive away from Shawn. Moving in together after college, Shawn + Kendall dated for nearly nine years before they got married. They both agree - growing up together and getting married when they did, was the perfect timing for their love story. From the bride: "We got married at Shawn's family farm on July 14th, 2018 - which was probably the windiest day of the year! I remember worrying so much about it raining on our wedding day, and someone telling me. "it won't matter because at the end of the day you and Shawn will be married. That's all that matters." I remember rolling my eyes, thinking, "nope, I will be so upset if it rains." Well, we ended up having such a strong wind on our wedding day that my veil was in my armpit and my hair was in my mouth the entire ceremony, but they were right. Absolutely nothing could break my stride that day! As soon as I saw Shawn standing at the front of the aisle, all of my nerves and worries of how the day would go disappeared. At the end of the day, I would be going home with Shawn to start our lives as husband and wife. That was all that mattered. I think I always knew he was the one I was going to marry. At a very young age, we knew that we wanted this relationship to work, and we gave it our everything. Marriage is just the beginning of our love story. We have so much more coming into our lives and things are just going to keep getting better. I am so happy that I get to spend this journey with my best friend!"
