Wedding Date on Aug 22, 2020

We met at a bar in Harlem NY over eight years ago. I was waiting on my date to arrive when Richard and his friends came in. An hour had passed and my date was a no show, but I decided to stay and have a good time anyway. Somehow I got into a conversation with Rich about music and by the end of the night we exchanged Facebook information. The rest is history! It was very important to make our wedding true to who we are as a couple. It was the boho backyard wedding of our dreams. We couldn’t get to Sedona AZ due to the pandemic so we made it work by getting creative and including things that are sentimental to us. The music, food, drinks, and decor reflected us.I’m glad we took the time to make a list of what was truly important versus what was not for our wedding. People tend to sweat over the small things that no one will notice. My advice is to focus on what will truly create an unforgettable experience for yourselves and your guest. No one cared about my crooked candles at the end of the day, but they loved the food! Have fun and try something uncommon within your ceremony or reception. Your guests will never forget the unexpected.
