From the bride: “We met in college thru mutual friends at Big Wangs. My friend invited our group of girls after class to have drinks and wings where her Boyfriend was. My fiancé, Archie ended up being there. We introduced ourselves, didn’t really talk much, and parted ways. A few months later, I saw him enter a bar and our eyes met lol from there, he asked me what my BBM # was and the rest is history :) One of many favorite memories was when Archie surprised me with my first trip to Disneyworld and a stay at one of the beautiful resorts for my graduation present. We had only been dating for a month or so when he booked the trip. When we were at Animal Kingdom, it started pouring rain. We went on one of the rides and it ended up being one of the best rides we’ve ever been on because we were laughing the entire time getting soaked in the rain. We got engaged in Japan on April 8th, 2018 in front of 10 of our close friends, my sister, and brother-in-law. He wanted to propose in a park in front of the Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo. The cherry blossoms had bloomed the week prior and when we got there, all the cherry blossoms had fallen off. He wasn’t feeling the place and we moved on to the next location. He ended up proposing in front of the entrance to the Meiji shrine. We had just finished doing the hand washing custom before entering the shrine. All our friends suggested we take a picture in front of the shrine, and one person yelled “Jump” and so I did. When I turned over to Archie, he was on his knees holding out a ring and he asked me to marry him. I was very emotional and was so surprised! I had no idea he was going to propose. My sister had my mom on FaceTime so she got to witness the proposal which was important for me to have my mom witness in some way. Strangers/tourists were even coming up to us and taking pictures and congratulating us. The next day, we ended up seeing some beautiful cherry blossoms at a park, but I wouldn’t have changed the proposal for the world :) it was very sweet. We are goofy, fun/easy going, and unconditional. Archie is more of the outgoing type and he can carry on a great conversation with just about anybody. We are goofy because we like to do random dance moves and Archie always cracks jokes. Easy going because we are drama free. We don’t trip over the littlest things with each other and are an easy couple to get along with. Unconditional, because we take care of each other no matter what. “
