Wedding Date on Jun 6, 2017

From The Groom: We met through a friend around 5 years ago. On our first date we went to the drive-in, we were both too nervous to go alone so we tried to get friends to tag along. I guess it was fate that intervened when all our friends declined our invitations. We both had to suck it up and go alone. After the first few nervous, and awkward minutes we finally broke the ice. I think the movies that were playing were Ice Age and Batman, but I honestly can't remember watching the movies because we just talked the entire time. We talked about family, friends, sports, religion, likes and dislikes. I know it sounds cliche, and I've never been one for making romantic speeches, but I knew after that night that this girl had to be the one. I was so nervous and not wanting to mess it up I tried to be so respectful, maybe to respectful, I remember being nervous when I asked her if I could hold her hand, she looked at me like I was so weird. When the night was over and I dropped her off I was still not wanting to mess things up so I was trying be a good gentleman. I was trying to be so polite and unassertive, we said good bye and she got out of the car, and I didn't go for a kiss or anything, i didn't even give her a hug. We said good night and bye and the night was over. In the moment I thought I did so good. It wasn't until after I left that i realized how big of an idiot I was, I didn't even give the girl a hug! She must think I despised her! i felt so stupid. But, here we are 5 years later and she's about to be mine for the rest of my life!
