Wedding Date on Mar 30, 2019

The idea was simple enough, plan a western/boho themed engagement party that was a surprise wedding ceremony in disguise. Okay, perhaps simple is too simplistic of an adjective in itself, but that was the idea. When Paige and Evan first presented this to me, I was so excited to be considered the artist to direct this. Because of its unique nature, I wanted to do something that no one ever does in the wedding industry. Film this story on an anamorphic lens. The anamorphic format is the cinematography technique of shooting a widescreen picture on standard 35mm film. Most of your favorite big-screen movies are done so on anamorphic lenses and projectors. My creative vision was as ambitious as Paige and Evans engagement wedding. We were on the same page, and what came out of it is an honest, beautiful, raw, cinematic love story. As always, Kodak Super 8mm film (their new Ektachrome film stock) was utilized. I was also the photographer on this project as I do have a collective package that allows me to do both photography and cinematography for the same wedding. I will share an album of the photos when I blog it on my site soon! Coordination was performed by Boho Belle Weddings. Enjoy and as always reach out if you're inspired and interested in my work!
