Wedding Date on Sep 8, 2018

Omar and I met at a 2 week consulting training in St. Charles Illinois. Because we were both consultants who traveled to our clients from Monday-Thursday most weeks, we had never met prior to this training despite both being based out of the Atlanta office. After meeting, I started on an international assignment that brought me to Australia and China over the course of 6 weeks. During that time we kept in touch through email and when I returned I invited him to my 25th birthday party. We started dating shortly there after.Travel and family are very important to both Omar and we wanted our family and friends to feel like they were on a weekend getaway. We got married in Martha's Vineyard (my happy place) with many touches that tied back to his background from Barbados. It was important for our friends and family who had not been to Martha's Vineyard to experience and love a place that is so special to us. We kicked the weekend off with a casual Island themed rehearsal dinner and Bajan rum tasting, danced through the night at the wedding, and closed out the weekend with a brunch the next Sunday. Everything was more than we ever could have dreamed and now Martha's Vineyard has an even more special meaning for us.
