Olivia - Nathan and I were in the same Spanish Immersion Program, starting in Kindergarten. Although, it was not until the 8th grade that we finally had our first class together. We became really good friends very quickly and remained that way throughout high school. I had never felt so naturally comfortable around someone. I thought (and still think!) he was the most clever and funniest person I have ever met. My favorite part of each day was when he would walk with me to my classes. At our high school graduation, he graciously held all my things (phone, keys, etc.), because I didn't have any pockets (eye-roll emoji). After the graduation ceremony, when he returned my things, we talked for a long time, knowing it was going to be a hard goodbye going to different colleges. That evening, I received the sweetest message from Nathan expressing that although things would be different for a little while, he hoped to continue our friendship until we were old!
Just a few months later, we began dating and have been together ever since! Nathan is the most wonderful person I have ever met. He is so patient and makes friends with everyone he meets. After college, we moved from our hometown of Lexington, KY to Nashville, TN together. After adopting our wild dog, we moved to Raleigh, NC in pursuit of Nathan's dream job. We got engaged just a few months after moving to Raleigh, NC at a nearby state park. It was the absolute happiest day of my life. Our relationship gets so much more beautiful with time, and I am so blessed that now time is forever on our side. I would've married Nathan the day he asked, but we are so excited to celebrate with our friends and family. This last year preparing for the wedding, our communication, personal growth, and understanding of one another have strengthened our relationship more than ever. Love is a choice, and loving Nathan every day is an easy choice.
