The story of Coli & Dave’s relationship began on a ferry to Block Island almost 10 years ago. As we embarked on that same ferry headed to their wedding weekend, it felt like we were experiencing a part of their story and it’s roots to the island. When we heard the ferry intercom welcoming us to Block Island, the same welcome they heard for years working together on the ferry, we knew we had to incorporate it into their film. If you know Coli & Dave you know that their love is so grounded in it’s strong foundation, but also bright with laughter and excitement for their future together. We wanted to incorporate super 8 film, to represent their past connection to the island while capturing cinematic footage of them at the Bluffs to portray their adventures that lie ahead. Like their personalities, we wanted their film to be a thoughtful balance of carefree and emotional moments — and Coli’s son Grayson was a big part of that. He had the most adorable toast to transition into the footage of Coli & Dave at the Bluffs as they shared their first moments as newlyweds.
