It was August 2004, when two bright eyed teenagers met each other for the first time. At first, only glances were exchanged. As the autumn days went by, glances became text messages. Text messages became walks around the block. Eventually we had become inseparable. One day after a soccer game that Nick had played for his high school, we walked home together. After some adolescent awkwardness, the both of us worked up the courage to kiss one another as we sat on the stone wall of my parent’s driveway. That kiss would change our lives forever. We fell in love almost instantly. Here we are…FIFTEEN YEARS later. There have been great moments and not so great moments along the way. We grew up together. We are best friends. We have learned so much about each other through our successes and our trials. It didn’t matter if we “took a break” a summer here or there. Attending different colleges made for the most severe of challenges. But at the end of the day, we would always come home to one another. We never stopped loving one another; that was always the constant. We are beyond grateful to have the opportunity to spend the rest of our lives together. We are indescribably excited for the culmination of so many memories together- our wedding day. To witness the two of us finally become a married couple may quite literally be the most anticipated celebration in our circle of friends and family. The intimacy of our special day will have a lot to do with the fact that only our dearest friends and family will be in attendance. We chose the Lake House Inn for our wedding not only because of the beautiful scenery, but we felt it best represents a reprieve from all the stress and worry in life…the kind of solace that we find in each other.
