Natalia and Zach’s wedding was the model of Californian sophistication and style. The wedding took place at the Ojai Valley Inn, a large and stunning country club nestled in the rolling hills of Ojai, seventy-five miles north of Los Angeles.
We met up with Natalia and Zach ahead of the wedding day by the ocean, as they took turns driving an old sixties Porsche up and down Highway 1 on the Ventura coastline. Leaning into the vintage vibe and Natalia’s Italian heritage, the couple looked like they had stepped out of an old-fashioned European movie complete with a silk scarf, big sunglasses, and sharp tailoring. They ditched the Porsche and changed into something more comfortable for playing around on the beach, splashing in the waves as the sunset behind them over the Pacific.
Natalia and Zach also wanted to focus as much on their families as on their own love story. Both come from big families and it was important to them to capture all the people who meant so much to them. We’d been told that both Zach and Natalia’s Grandmas — although they hadn’t yet met — had grown up in the same neighborhood in the Bronx. We got to be there at the rehearsal dinner when the grandmas first met and sat down to share memories of growing up in New York and the coincidence of their grandkids meeting and bringing them together.
