Wedding Date on Sep 30, 2017

Fate can be a funny thing. It has a way of writing a story that would have never been written, bringing people together that would have never met, and creating memories that would have only been dreams. It was fate that brought Morgan and Greg together and love at first sight that gave them their happily ever after. They grew up in the same town, went to rival high schools, knew of each other but never met…and then fate brought them to the streets of New York where they shared mutual friends. While going out for drinks with friends, Morgan and Greg were officially introduced to one another and their story officially began. During their four years of dating, Morgan and Greg made the move to Washington D.C. and started making their new city home. Morgan and Greg decided to make the five hour haul to Morgan’s favorite place, Ocean City, New Jersey for a weekend getaway. They were on their way to one of their favorite restaurants in the next town over, when Greg suggested they stop off at the pier to take some pictures that his mom wanted. Greg asked some strangers to take their picture and the uncharacteristic move made Morgan immediately think that a proposal was coming – and she started to freak out while trying to compose herself for the pictures! There was one more picture that Greg asked the people to take and that’s when he said very romantic words to Morgan, neither can recall the words now, and asked her to marry him. Her response, “are you sure?” Morgan then saw both set of parents running down the street to share the exciting moment with them. After dinner, everyone went to Morgan’s parents’ house and that’s when she was surprised with her best friends being there and they celebrated all night long. Morgan and Greg said their “I do’s” on a sunny fall day in-front of family and friends. They incorporated different elements from their families like having the same cookies that Greg’s parents had at their wedding, having a Penn State Creamery ice cream bar, Morgan’s grandfather’s handkerchief inscribed with her new initials, dancing to Frank Sinatra (Morgan’s late grandfather’s favorite artist, and having Morgan’s Great-Uncle Don officiate the wedding ceremony. Both, Morgan and Greg loved seeing each other for the first time as Morgan walked down the aisle and sharing their vows in-front of their loved ones. They also loved seeing all of their guests having a great time. After the wedding, Morgan and Greg took off for Hawaii where they relaxed on the Big Island and then explored the island of Kauai. Between the two islands, they did a sailboat and snorkeling tour, hiked the Napali Coast, swam under waterfalls, took a helicopter ride, and enjoyed delicious local food.
