Sean and Molly met while abroad for school in Spain. Molly was historically tight-lipped about her love interests around friends and family, so when she returned from Spain everyone could tell there was something different about her. Molly's family knew Sean was "the one" when she brought him to visit her father in the hospital as he was recovering from a cardiac emergency. The film opens to her father recounting the story, and as he puts it comically, "evidently Molly was intent on finishing the job the arterial plaque failed to do earlier that day."
