Ben + Mignon chose Dawn Ranch Resort for its trees. It's truly a unique venue where everyone can stay close together, participate in lots of activities, and enjoy a bit of nature. Ben + Mignon met in San Francisco and have been together for seven years. Four of those years were long distance as Mignon attended medical school. Mignon is originally from Marin County so that could have been why Ben picked the perfect spot to propose: at the fire lookout cabin on the top of Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley. One of my favorite parts of this wedding was when Mignon's dad read a "love letter" that Mignon wrote when she was eight years old and gifted it to Ben! Ben's mom designed and drew their wedding logo which are two redwood trees leaning into each other. It's to symbolize two independent, strong and natural individuals who are coming together. I incorporated this logo into their film.
