Michelle and Montana grew up together in Alaska but they didn't start dating until college. Michelle was sitting in the library really sad because the long relationship she was in just ended and then Montana saw her and came up beside her and tried to scare her. He then asked if she could be his study buddy and that is when they really started to become close. They dated for 8 years and they find the beauty in the fact that they have gone through struggles together but have matured through it, they said they are like old souls. Montana moved to Texas for his dream job as a firefighter and Michelle moved with him. She is an elementary teacher and has such a passion for her students and their education. Montana of course knew this about michelle and contacted the principal to help him propose to her. He made signs for the kids to hold and in the school auditorium he got down on one knee while her students held the sign spelling out "Will You Marry Me" He got this moment on video and then made a video himself to give to her on their wedding day. Michelle values life's memories and when she opened that gift from him and watched him call her mother for her blessing to marry her, she broke into tears. Michelle loved her students so much she invited them to her wedding. But sadly because of the pandemic, they were not able to come. We saw her great love for these kids and their families so we asked the people in their lives to help encourage her students to all write letters to her at her wedding! The principal of Michelle's school was the one who married Michelle and Montana and she surprised her at the ceremony with the cutest and most heartfelt letters from the most amazing elementary students. Having children encourage you on your wedding day during a pandemic is I'm sure one of the most amazing things to have! The day was so full of heart and joy for Michelle and Montana and it was such a strong start to an everlasting marriage.
