As sophomores in college, Micaela and Curtis ditched a fraternity party to talk until the sun came up—just talk. It was a special night for each of them, but Micaela required one more encounter to know for sure. Soon after, the two enjoyed another evening of talking (and a little dancing), and she was convinced. " I was going to marry," she says. Five years later, Curtis on a rose-petal strewn beach—with a blanket and celebratory bottle of Champagne ready to go. "I dropped to one knee and tears streamed down Micaela's face," Curtis recalls. "She said 'yes' before I even opened my mouth." On July 5, 2019, the couple exchanged vows in front of 173 guests at in Quincy, Washington.
