From The Groom: Meagan and I met at a football game during our junior year in high school. (She was the only girl that didn't laugh at my jokes at half-time, so I was determined that one day she would be mine) We stayed close friends all the way up to college, but for some reason, she would never date me. After serving a full-time, two year Christian Mission for the LDS church- assigned in the Philippines, she was the very first girl I dated when I returned in 2010. I guess my humor got better ;) We have been inseparable since, and truly have become best friends in the 5 years we dated. She inspired me to be better. After enduring over a year of long distance while she finished Nursing school at CSU Long Beach, and over 2,000 miles of Ocean when I attended BYU-Hawaii, it finally felt like the right time to ask. We were engaged in January 2015 and got married on June 10, 2016. We were sealed in the San Diego LDS Temple in the morning, followed by a ring ceremony at Marina Village San Diego. Our entire wedding was centered on the sealing in the Temple and the promises we made with each other and with Heavenly Father. The garden ceremony and reception was to share this special moment with our family and friends. Thankfully, we had a lot of support to be able to do much D.I.Y decorating and even the menu for our wedding. Our DJ connected well with our guests which made it easy for everyone to dance all night long. Our wedding may have been simple in comparison to many others, but in our eyes, it could not have been any more perfect. It really wasn't about how much money we had to spend, but rather how we wanted to spend the night celebrating the start of our eternal marriage with the people that matter most to us.
