Wedding Date on Feb 17, 2019

ONCE UPON A TIME...…on a dating app called “The League” (yes, it does exist and wasn’t just made up for the TV show “Insecure”), it was love at first swipe for Amber (an American gal) and Mark (an English chap). After messaging and a phone call, the couple would have their very first date on a cold, rainy night in Venice, CA. Surprisingly, Mark was the one fashionably late but looking quite dashing, he avoided the ire of Amber's Gemini twin (that night anyway). That evening, the two discussed work and family, goals and dreams, music and...emotional intelligence. Amber got the impression that Mark was very cerebral but would later discover that his intellect is balanced by his love of surreal British comedy, like she balances hers with the Real Housewives of [Any City]. They found commonality in their personal backgrounds, career trajectories, and life goals. Over the next couple of weeks, the soon-to-be couple would go on several more dates, including Hal’s (where they shared their first kiss), Bowlero (where legend has it that Amber beat Mark in a couple of basketball shootouts), and a bike ride through Marina del Rey (where both realized their feelings were growing quickly). By New Year 2018, Mark and Amber were officially a couple and beginning to fall in love... The next few months were a whirlwind…weekend getaways, introductions to family and friends, promotions at work, and plans to meet Mark’s family and friends back in the UK. But first, there was a significant birthday for Amber on the horizon. While they had conversations regarding their future together and even getting married, it was not particularly on Amber’s mind on this occasion, especially after Mark had bestowed her with beautiful flowers and moonstone earrings. Later that evening, the pair set off for Hotel Figueroa where an intimate group of friends would meet to celebrate Amber’s big 4-0 in DTLA. When Mark called everyone around for a photo, Amber was oblivious to the moment ahead. Even when Mark mentioned he would like to say a few words, Amber thought, “that’s nice but since it’s my birthday, shouldn’t I say something??” (which of course she did). After expressing her gratitude to everyone for taking the time to join her that night, Mark mentioned that he had a few more words to say. At this point, Amber thought, “could it be happening??” After turning to her, Mark began, “I knew from the moment I met you that you were the one for me. I love you…” With those words, Amber & Mark’s life would forever change when Mark got down on his knee and proposed marriage! At last….their one true love had come along. The wedding was intimate and very romantic. It was a perfect time, place and opportunity to bring the family and friends of Mark and Amber together. Amber & Mark’s story is an inspiring one of hope, love, perseverance and timing with a touch of fate…theirs is a love story to be continued…
