Marissa and Colin met in high school and were friends for a few years before dating Marissa's senior year. and Colin's junior year. Marissa then started to realize throughout high school that she was totally crushing on him and tried to flirt with him by holding hands and sharing a handwarmer with him during track meets together. "But he didn't realize I was flirting with him, so I had to straight-up tell him that I had a crush on him" - Marissa. After their first date to a Trailblazers game, Colin confessed his feelings to Marissa and thus begun an 8-year (and growing) love story together. Marissa and Colin's elopement was exceedingly special to both of them and their loved ones. During their ceremony, Marissa and Colin released 100 live butterflies to symbolize 100 months of being together by each other's side. Additionally, Marissa gave Colin a big surprise during their first look! Marissa had reached out and spoke to OWEL, Colin's favorite band, and OWEL wrote and recorded a song dedicated to their love for each other. This song is the music playing in this elopement film. We wandered amongst the forest floor for their ceremony and reception. We hiked Zig-Zag Falls in Mt. Hood National Forest to capture some beautiful moments of the couple together.
